HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Holland Public Safety Firefighters had been without a contract since the previous one expired on June 30th, 2013. After several months of negotiations between city staffers and the Holland Professional Firefighters Union, Local 759, including mediation and Act 312 filing, a recommendation for a three year agreement was made to the City Council. Seven members of the Council voted to adopt the recommendation with Councilmen Brian Burch and Todd Whiteman voting no. The agreement goes into effect immediately.
