GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Opening arguments were this morning in the double murder trial of Ryan Wyngarden. The 52-year-old Zeeland man is accused of shooting his sister Gail Brink and her husband Rick in their Park Township home more than 26 years ago. Prosecutors say that Wyngarden was fueled by jealousy over an incestuous relationship. He was arrested 14 months ago by cold case prosecutors after his wife agreed to testify against him. Proceedings before Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing are expected to last at least 12 days.
