OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- The lakefront walkways off Ottawa Beach Road near the Holland State Park will be connected. That’s according to Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Director John Scholtz. Construction is scheduled to begin April 15th to put 13-hubdred feet of boardwalk that will connect Black Lake Boardwalk East to Black Lake Boardwalk West. The $407-thousand contract was awarded to Dorr-based Apex Contractors, Inc. Thier bid came in at about $100-thousand under budget. Once the connector is in place, the entire length will be about 24-hundred feet. Scholtz says the plan is to have the walkway completed by the Fourth of July.
