ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A 23-year-old Plainwell man was bound over for trial yesterday on child abuse charges. Anthony McFarlane Jr. is accused of violently shaking his two-month-old daughter last December, causing severe head trauma. He is already scheduled for sentencing in two weeks for allegedly stabbing a man in front of his home in January of 2013; McFarlane had pleaded no contest although maintaining that he was acting in self-defense.
