ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) - As a local restaurant is donating all of its dinner sales this evening towards a downtown splash pad in Zeeland, along with its wait staff tossing in tip money, the Zeeland City Council last night approved a 475 thousand-dollar bid to build the attraction at the corner of Main and Elm streets. So far, 355 thousand has been raised, and Council agreed for the city to pay the difference in order to have the splash pad built this year. The fundraiser at the Farmhouse Restaurant runs from 4:30 PM to 9 PM tonight; council members will be waiting tables during the activities.
