
UNDATED (WHTC) -- An early morning home invasion ended with the homeowner capturing one suspect. Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the home in Georgetown Township about 3:30 A.M. When they arrived on the scene, the homeowner was holding 19-year-old Brady Charles Veltman in the garage. Captain Mark Bennett says there was a scuffle but the homeowner did not need medical treatment. Veltman is charged with home invasion in the first degree, simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and minor consumption of alcohol. He was arraigned Monday afternoon with bond set at $5000 and remains in the Ottawa County Jail. Two other individuals got away and investigators are in the process of identifying them.
