HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Wednesday evening was a long one for Holland City Council members. The major focus of the meeting was the passage of the 2015 Fiscal Year Budget. City Manager Ryan Cotton talked about reinvestment in street reconstruction and resurfacing, fire station replacement and recreation functions as part of the Bouws Pool restoration. BPW General Manager Dave Koster presented information on the electric, water and wastewater utilities and showed that a Holland resident using all three would see an overall increase of five dollars per month. The 2015 Fiscal Year budget was passed and approved for $233,144,064.00.
