HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A relatively small fire brought out Holland Public Safety firefighters to a business on the South Side last night. Investigators believe that sparks from production inside the Challenge Manufacturing building just south of the Washington Avenue/US-31 junction ignited the framing of a sky light, sending flames through the roof. All inside were able to escape safely, and it took crews less than a half hour to bring the fire under control without any reported injuries. Production resumed about two hours after the alarm. No dollar estimate of damage was immediately made.
