UNDATED (WHTC) - US House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton will accompany Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chair Allison McFarlane on a tour of the Cook and Palisades power plants south of the Lakeshore today. McFarlane came to West Michigan a day early and met with local leaders in Kalamazoo that included activists who have been pressuring the NRC to permanently shut down Palisades due to its age and numerous operational problems in recent years.
