HOLLAND (WHTC) -- The Downtown Holland Street Performer series is welcoming another act this evening, cellists Andrew Plasier and Joshua Ruiter. The pair are Calvin College students that met while performing with the school’s orchestra. Instead of playing classical music on their cellos, the duo performs their own renditions of hit songs from Led Zepplin’s Stairway to Heaven to Rihanna’s We Found Love. The cellists have said that they will be taking requests during their performance. Plasier and Ruiter have a combined 25 years of musical experience. The Street Performer series will be from 6:30 to 8:30 this evening in downtown Holland. The event is free, but tips are encouraged.
