HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The Running of the Tulips at Window on the Waterfront Park this evening begins a weekend of planting activities in and around Holland, as tulip bulbs that should blossom in time for the Tulip Time Festival are embedded in various areas. Organizers of Holland’s annual signature event will also use the 5:30 PM festivities to announce the featured entertainers for next year. The festival has aimed to get more mainstream acts into Central Wesleyan Auditorium in recent years, with comedian Bill Cosby this past spring following in the footsteps of performers such as Bruce Hornsby, Kenny Rogers, Starship and Christina Aguilera. The 86th Tulip Time Festival runs from May 2 through 9.
