UNDATED (WHTC) -- If you are under the impression that eating well on SNAP benefits is an easy task, Lisa Uganski, Dietition and Health Educator at the Ottawa Dept. of Public Health would certainly disagree with you.
She also took into consideration that many receiving SNAP benefits also have transportation issues and tried to buy for the whole week and discovered living on $29.05 for a whole week can be close to impossible. For that reason, Uganski is asking those who donate to food drives and food pantries to consider donating healthier options. Share your thoughts at http://ottawafood.org
