ZEELAND (WHTC) - Zeeland school board members are meeting Monday night to discuss the district’s plans for a bond issue that could go before voters sometime next year. The proposal is expected to address safety and security issues at each of the district’s buildings, as well as growth issues. Superintendent Cal DeKuiper told board members earlier this fall that the district is looking at projected enrollment increases at between 40 and 100 students annually for the next several years. A portable classroom was added at Adams Elementary School earlier this fall to accommodate enrollment growth. A final decision on an election date is expected next month.
