HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A 29-year-old Holland Township woman was pinned in her vehicle for a short time when live high-voltage electrical wires from a downed utility pole were draped over her car. Sarah McLaughlin was not injured in the incident that closed Douglas Avenue between Division Road and Analine Avenue on Holland’s North Side for about a half hour yesterday afternoon. The pole was snapped by the vehicle of 37-year-old Michael McNeil of Holland Township when he veered away from a vehicle ahead of his that had stopped for a school bus with its flashing lights on. He wasn’t hurt in the crash. Consumers Power crews had to remove the power lines before McLaughlin was able to safely leave her vehicle.
