MILWAUKEE (WHTC) - Officials with Milwaukee-based Johnson Controls announced that the Meadowbrook plant in Holland will be providing lithium-ion batteries for the 2015 hybrid Range Rover that are being made in England. Production on the cells and complete battery systems is already underway at the 41 thousand square-foot facility off of 48th Street. JCI also builds power sources for electric-powered vehicles by Mercedes Benz and General Motors. A similar plant operated by LG Chem a short distance to the east on 48th Street does the same for the Chevy Volt and Cadillac ELR.
