WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) - The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department announced the January 16th retirement of Undersheriff Greg Steigenga. He is ending a 36-year career in law enforcement, 29 of which was wearing the sheriff’s brown uniform after a stint with Hudsonville police. Steigenga was promoted to the number two spot in the department under Sheriff Gary Rosema in 2004, and was in charge of daily operations. No successor was immediately named.
