GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - Between three and 10 years in prison was the sentence handed down to Jeffrey TenElshof, the 32-year-old Jenison man who was thrown the book by noted tough-on-crime Kent County Circuit Court Judge Mark Trusock. The juror refused to allow TenElshof to withdraw a guilty conversion plea, and shredded a deal the accused had made with prosecutors when it was learned that none of the 11 thousand dollars of restitution had been paid to the victims. TenElshof allegedly pledged to do home renovation and was paid in advance but did little or no work. In addition, more criminal charges against TenElshof are apparently pending in both Kent and Ottawa counties.
