HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) - An investigation continues into a bomb threat phoned into the corporate offices of West Michigan Community Bank in Hudsonville yesterday. According to Sheriff’s Detective Captain Mark Bennett, deputies and officers were dispatched to the offices on School Avenue, as well as bank branches in Jenison, Hudsonville, Holland and Zeeland, after the call came around 4 PM. The caller said that a bomb was placed in one of the banks, but didn’t say much else. No suspicious devices or explosives were found in any of the subsequent searches, and investigators aren’t ruling out any connection between this threat and other “swatting” incidents at various schools in West Michigan this fall. No suspects have been identified thus far, and anyone with any information is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
