GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - A plea could be forthcoming today in the case involving Jodie McLean. The 43-year-old Holland woman has been jailed since her arrest on February 19th, following the death of her 38-year-old boyfriend at the East 20th Street home they shared. Prosecutors say that she plunged a kitchen knife into the chest of Steven Gordon during a heated argument that also involved two roommates who attempted to break up the altercation. Gordon died of his wound at Holland Hospital. McLean’s trial on an open murder charge was pushed back from September to January 13th in order for a forensic exam to be conducted, and it was determined last month that she was competent to stand trial. A plea hearing is slated this morning before Judge Ed Post.
