UNDATED (WHTC) -- A Holland area teen already charged with murder in the death of another teen is now accused of assaulting an Ottawa County Jail deputy. Victor Donaldson allegedly attacked the guard on Dec. 10th during “normal inmate movement.” Ottawa County Sheriff charged Donaldson in the stabbing of 18-year-old Ja'Paris Rodgers and taking his life on July 31 along Riley Street in Holland Township. Sheriff's Capt. Mark Bennett said the jail deputy was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment, but was only off work for a single day. Donaldson’s trial set for Jan. 20th has been postponed.
