HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A 25-year-old Holland man remains in the Ottawa County Jail on 75 hundred dollars bond after a late Saturday morning crash. According to authorities, Anthony Alaniz allegedly rear-ended his car into a SUV owned by the Holland BPW that had stopped for the signal regulating traffic at the junction of 32nd Street, Lincoln Avenue and State Street. The driver then attempted to drive off, but the vehicle was spotted about a block away, and public safety officers were able to apprehend Alaniz without incident. There were no injuries reported. Alaniz was arraigned yesterday on charges of violating probation from a previous retail fraud conviction, leaving the scene of an accident, and for being “super drunk” by having a blood alcohol count three times the legal limit while driving.
