Clean Up in Ottawa County After Torrential Rains Continues

UNDATED (WHTC) - Flood waters along the Grand River in Ottawa County continue to abate from the high-water mark of 16.7 feet seen on Sunday night. Most roads and ramps closed due to the torrential rains of last week have now reopened.

The Red Cross will distribute clean-up kits at various locations near the river for the next two days:

Thursday

9:30 a.m.  – 11:00 a.m.       Tallmadge Township; O-1451 Leonard St.; Grand Rapids                                            

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.        Crockery Township Hall; 17431 112th Ave.; Nunica

1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.          Robinson Township Hall; 12010 120th Ave.; Grand Haven

3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.          Georgetown Fire Station; 1415 44th St.; Jenison

 

Friday

9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.        Polkton Township Hall; 6900 Arthur St. W; Coopersville

12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.       Grand Haven Fire Station/Township Hall; 13250 168th Ave.; Grand Haven

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.          American Red Cross of Ottawa County; 270 James St.; Holland

County officials continue to ask affected residents to report property damage and submit photos to the county offices in efforts to secure state and federal emergency relief funding.
