HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The municipal budget for Fiscal 2014 in the city of Holland was approved by Council members last night. The 20.3 million-dollar general fund spending plan has a projected surplus of over 32 hundred dollars, mostly due to cuts and higher property values that will lead to increased tax revenue. More than half of the money will go towards police and fire services. The millage rate will remain constant at just over 15 mills.
