UNDATED (WHTC) -- The 2013 version of Click it or Ticket caught quite a few violators over the Memorial Day holiday. Michigan state and law enforcement plan to do it all over again during the 4th of July and Labor Day holidays. Law enforcement agencies in 26 Michigan counties issued 87-hundred seat belt and child seat violation tickets, almost 600 more than last year. In 2012, 225 people not wearing seatbelts died in Michigan traffic crashes. During the last check, which took place during the Memorial Day holiday, twelve people died, including three not wearing seatbelts and two motorcyclists. Stepped up drunk driving patrols are set to happen between July 1st and 7th.
