HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - After the protracted Independence Day holiday weekend, construction season resumes with a vengeance along the Lakeshore and across the state. New motoring headaches are expected today as M-DOT continues its quest to build more Michigan turns on divided highways, targeting Business 196 in Zeeland and US-31 in West Olive for lengthy renovation work, starting today, although the barrels will be pulled aside during weekday morning and afternoon commutes. Also resuming today is the reconstruction of Washington Avenue from 32nd Street to Matt Urban Drive in Holland, with crews “hopeful” of finishing up by Labor Day weekend.
