UNDATED (WHTC) - This is the third Monday of November, which means that school boards in Holland, West Ottawa, Zeeland and Saugatuck hold their separately scheduled monthly meetings this evening. Also on tap tonight is the biweekly business and work-study session for the Zeeland City Council, as well as the monthly gathering of Holland’s Community Sustainability Committee.
Some items that are on the agendas: The Zeeland City Council considers a groundwater position statement as some work in the area of Central and Division streets has led to a flooding problem with residential damages in the tens of thousands of dollars; the Sustainability Committee discusses a resolution to City Council and the status of a potential Hope College Sustainability Institute; and Saugatuck's Board of Education goes over a resolution involving open carry firearms in school and the district's weapons-free zone policy.
