HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Beginning this morning, most residents will be allowed to park passenger vehicles, motorcycles and light trucks on Holland city streets overnight. This trial run of lifting the Tulip City’s long-standing ban on 24-hour street parking runs through September 30th, with staffers and city council members reviewing the matter later this fall. The downtown district will continue to have no overnight street parking allowed. Some say that public safety will be compromised; others cite vehicles parked on lawns as reasons for lifting the ban.
