JACKSON, MI (WHTC) - Two Ottawa County entities – Pure Mitten Hops and an undisclosed residence - are among 22 statewide participating in Consumers Energy’s Experimental Advance Renewable Energy Program that will be drawing their power from solar sources totaling over 700 kilowatts. They are helping the Jackson-based utility reach the 10 percent alternative energy in its portfolio mandated by 2015.
