ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - The Allegan County Clerk’s Office is waiting for Orangeville Township in Barry County to certify their vote count before disclosing the results of Martin Public Schools’ 5.5 million-dollar bond question in yesterday’s ballot. The district wants to raise the levy ceiling to seven mills in order to build a new community center. In the only other election held along the Lakeshore yesterday, voters in the Hopkins Public Schools district overwhelmingly renewed the 18-mill non-homestead tax for two years by over a four-to-one margin.
