UNDATED (WHTC) - From the court docket: A conference is slated this afternoon before Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing involving Jodie McLean. The 42-year-old Holland woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend Steven Gordon to death in their 20th Street apartment unit on February 20th. Her trial is scheduled to begin on January 13th.
Former Allegan County Commissioner Terry Burns begins the second of two 30-day jail sentences today in the Allegan County Jail. The 71-year-old Saugatuck man pled guilty to attempted embezzlement, as he allegedly took money from the account of former Mi-Ro golf course owner Joe Bigas, of whom Burns had been a legal guardian. A hearing on restitution and possible waiving of two additional months of jail time is slated for December 12th before Allegan County Circuit Court Judge Kevin Cronin.
