GANGES, MI (WHTC) - Allegan County Health Department officials took down advisory signs for the beach at West Side County Park south of Saugatuck yesterday. The cautions went up on Tuesday after testing of Lake Michigan waters showed E. coli levels slightly above maximum safe standards for swimming. Results from Wednesday’s tests had bacteria counts falling sharply. Rain runoff from last week is being blamed for the initial high count.
